MSW Intern
Mariya Mikhaylenko is a clinical social work graduate trainee pursuing her MCSW at the Silberman School of Social Work, Hunter College. Prior to pursuing training in psychotherapy, she worked as an integration coach, supporting individuals in preparing for and integrating alternative healing modalities, working with plant medicines, as well as providing recovery support for those navigating substance use challenges. Mariya currently works with adults and couples at Rose Hill. She has particular interest in attachment issues, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and life transitions. She is bilingual in English and Russian. Mariya obtained a BA in English from the University of the District of Columbia.
Mariya’s approach is psychodynamic and relational. She strives to provide a consistent and grounding presence, helping clients explore the underlying patterns that shape their relationships and inner lives. She believes in the possibilities that integration of psychic material can provide for a fuller, more rich experience of life and connection. Her goal is to support clients in processing experiences, building resilience, and creating deeper connections with themselves and others.
