Stephanie Hundt, MA

Psychotherapist


Stephanie Hundt completed doctoral coursework and clinical training in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program at Long Island University, Brooklyn Campus. She completed her pre-doctoral clinical internship at the Westchester Institute for Human Development, where she extended her specialization on treating trauma in the context of complex family circumstances. Stephanie also earned an advanced certificate in working with children with special healthcare needs from New York Medical College.

Stephanie's current research examines the relationship between emotion regulation and executive functioning during times of stress. Previous projects have examined ego-identity formation during emerging adulthood, psychoanalytically informed art therapy interventions, and processes of teaching and learning in post-secondary education. Additional areas of interest include meditation and the mind/body connection, as well as factors that promote resilience during sensitive periods of development and transition. Stephanie earned her bachelor's degree in psychology and art history with a visual arts concentration from Barnard College, Columbia University.
