Brittany Anderson, MSW

Psychotherapist

Brittany’s approach to psychodynamic work is pluralistic. When patients come in, she likes the environment to feel welcoming and open. You are free to communicate your thoughts and emotions the way you feel most comfortable. YOU guide the sessions. YOU guide your thoughts and actions. She is there to assist you on the route to YOUR ideal self. She enjoys working with teens and young adults individually as well as in dyads. Her many life experiences has led her to build her knowledge around grief, trauma and anxiety. She deeply believes that your environment shapes you and how you learn to cope with events in your life. She patiently works with you to create a comfortable environment in which you feel safe to express yourself without any fears. With that in mind, she works with you to get to the root of the issues in your life that can bring chaos.

She graduated from CUNY City College of NY with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Columbia University with a Master’s in Social Work with a concentration on Health, Mental Health and Disabilities. She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and grew up among a diverse population of people and continues to work within these populations.
