Celia Lesh, MSW-I

Clinical Social Work Intern

Celia is a clinical social work graduate trainee pursuing an MSW degree in Silberman School of Social Work at Hunter College. Prior to pursuing training in psychotherapy Celia worked in art conservation and progressive art studios. Celia currently works with adolescents and adults at Rose Hill. She has particular interest and experience in exploring issues of anxiety, depression, loss, illness, longing and belonging, and challenging relationships. Celia obtained a BA from Mills College in English literature.

Celia strives to create a welcoming space where the circumstances at hand are understood through the intersection of an individual’s intergenerational emotional inheritance, myriad identities, and personal narratives. Her approach is psychodynamic, and she listens for the ways an individual’s past relates to their present-day behaviors, thought patterns, and relationship dynamics. She aims to work alongside clients to gain greater understanding of themselves, allowing for strengthened agency, vitality, and creativity.
