Erin Adams, LMSW
Psychotherapist
Erin is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist working with adults and adolescents at Rose Hill Clinic. Erin has an MSW from the Columbia School of Social Work. Prior to working at Rose Hill Clinic, Erin completed an internship at the Outpatient Clinic for Mental Health at Lenox Hill Hospital. Erin is currently a training candidate at the Pulsion Institute for Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychosomatics.
Erin understands that the work of psychotherapy is frequently demanding and arduous. Initially the significance of the connections formed between the myriad parts of speech under free association can prove frustratingly elusive for patients. But beyond frustration and estrangement there are, as often, desires pressing forever onward. Gradually Erin finds that treatment can instill patients with a sense of resolve before the unknown, and in the process opening them up to new, unexpected pleasures.
