Ivy Zhang, LMSW

Psychotherapist

Ivy is a psychotherapist who received her MSW from Columbia University School of Social Work. She started her training for psychodynamic psychotherapy at Rose Hill and continued her work here with children, adolescents, and adults from unique and diverse backgrounds. She appreciates the process of building up rich therapeutic connections with her patients. Through listening and interacting, she works to navigate how one’s story is told and what is kept unsaid. She then engages with individuals to explore the possibilities of forming new narratives. Her personal and clinical experiences equip her to value the importance of one’s culture, navigate the links from the past, and recognize the intrinsic strengths and vulnerabilities.

Ivy works with people who face challenges around anxiety, depression, relationships with self and others, and identity questioning. She helps them develop curiosity and creativity for life that allows self-harmony and genuine growth. In addition to English, Ivy speaks Mandarin and has an interest in promoting mental health awareness and accessibility among Asian communities and immigrant culture. Ivy received her BA degrees in both Psychology and Business Economics from University of California, Los Angeles.
