Jaime McCaw, PhD

Psychotherapist


Jaime McCaw is an advanced doctoral candidate in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. Program at City College through The Graduate Center of The City University of New York (CUNY). She completed her internship training at the James J. Peters VA Medical Center in the Bronx, where her clinical work focused on treating trauma, substance use, personality disorders, and mood and anxiety disorders. Jaime has had a broad range of training experiences, including treating adults, adolescents, and children in community mental health clinics, extensive clinical work in college counseling, and inpatient and outpatient hospital-based psychotherapy for chronic mental illness. Jaime’s current research focuses on racial and ethnic minority identity, and her past work in clinical research examined psychological and physiological effects of trauma and stress on mothers and their children. Additional areas of interest include major life transitions, the relationship between the mind and body, and mindfulness and meditation. Jaime earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Barnard College, Columbia University.
