Kathryn McKinney

MSW Intern


Kathryn McKinney is a clinical social work graduate trainee pursuing a Master of Social Work degree at Hunter College Silberman School of Social Work. She currently works with adults, couples and adolescents at Rose Hill. Kathryn has specific interest in working with those experiencing grief and loss, stress and anxiety, loneliness and disconnect, trauma and complex trauma. She has previous experience working with survivors of abuse and assault and young people in crisis. Kathryn believes in the potential for radical personal and collective transformation through compassionate care and is honored to partner with those seeking healing and growth. She is fortunate to work with clients and colleagues of exceptionally diverse backgrounds, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, religions, and abilities.

Prior to pursuing training in psychotherapy, Kathryn worked in the arts, obtained a BA in art history from San Francisco State University and a MA in art administration from Baruch College, specializing in socially engaged artwork.
