Megan Roberts, LMSW

Psychotherapist

Megan is a psychotherapist who offers trauma-informed psychodynamic psychotherapy to teens and adults. She obtained her Master’s in Social Work from Columbia University and holds a BA in Psychology from The New School. She is also certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) and crisis counseling. Megan has a background in childhood trauma and attachment theory, and utilizes this knowledge to support patients in processing the impact of traumatic experiences.

Megan has experience working with children, teens, and adults who are grappling with a wide variety of issues, including trauma and PTSD, depression, anxiety, suicidality, self-esteem and body image issues, family and relationship issues, and dissociation. In her work, Megan is dedicated to creating a safe, non-judgmental therapeutic environment and strives to develop deep, unique relationships with each client. She believes that therapy should foster an individual’s ability to be curious, honest, and open about thoughts and emotions, and develop insight into the way these internal experiences are linked to the individual’s history and present-day life.
