Nathan Gorelick, PhD

Nathan Gorelick is a Licensure Candidate in the Post-Graduate Certificate Program at Pulsion Institute and a professor of English at Barnard College. An award-winning teacher, prolific writer, and engaging public speaker, Dr. Gorelick’s expertise concerns the intersections of clinical psychoanalysis with cultural formations including politics, religion, literature, and film. His current research considers the relation between psychoanalysis and psychedelic psychotherapy.
He holds a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a B.A. in Sociology from New York University, and he has completed the Training Seminar in Psychoanalysis (six-year cycle) with Gifric in Québec City.
