Nick Paitsel
MSW Intern
Nick is a clinical social work graduate trainee pursuing his MSW at Smith College. Prior to pursuing training in psychotherapy, he worked in public schools in the U.S. and Japan and served as a guide for adolescents in wilderness therapy. Nick currently works with adults and adolescents at Rose Hill. He has particular interest in depression, anxiety, existential issues, life transitions, men’s issues, and identity formation. Nick obtained a BA in English Literature from West Virginia University. Prior to Rose Hill, he was a clinical social work trainee at Austen Riggs Center.
Nick’s approach to therapy is psychodynamic, seeking to make connections between past experiences & present concerns. By getting curious about unconscious parts of ourselves, we can gain insight into how they drive our lives and impede our goals. Nick hopes to cultivate a therapeutic space to meet your unique needs. He works with clients of all backgrounds, races, ethnicities, sexual orientations, gender identities, religions & abilities.
