Rachel Remes, LCSW

Psychotherapist

Rachel Remes obtained an MSW degree from New York University’s Silver School of Social Work and received practical training from a wide range of facilities including the Institute for Psychoanalytic Training and Research (IPTAR). She works with adults and adolescents who are experiencing a variety of challenges including trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and life transitions. In her work, she aims to create a safe environment in which a person may explore their feelings, thoughts and sense of self, not to mention their past and cultural background, which can be valuable tools for understanding who they have become. In work with younger patients, Rachel uses play therapy to foster imagination and creativity, which she sees as crucial for safely exploring troubling issues as well as fostering adaptive capacities and resilience throughout life. Rachel earned a BA in philosophy from The New School.
