Robert Cavooris, PhD
LP Intern
Robert Cavooris is a psychoanalytic psychotherapist working with adults and adolescents at Rose Hill Psychological Services. He helps patients from all backgrounds suffering from depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and somatic illness, as well as inhibitions in careers, creative pursuits, and group life.
Patients are free to speak about anything in a space of care and non-judgment. Every therapeutic experience is unique, grounded in a complex set of individual circumstances as well as broad social and cultural conditions. By attending to these and exploring emotions, fantasies, dreams, desires, fears, and memories, Robert works to help patients overcome feelings of inertia, to dislodge old patterns of thought and behavior, and to open new paths for life’s creative possibilities.
Robert is currently completing his psychoanalytic training at Pulsion: The International Institute for Psychoanalysis and Psychoanalytic Psychosomatics. He holds a humanities PhD from the University of California Santa Cruz and a BA in international studies from American University in Washington, DC.
