Woo Chan Lee, LMFT

Psychotherapist

Woo Chan is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist working at Rose Hill Psychological Sevices. He has experience supporting couples, families, and individuals from diverse backgrounds navigating issues such as addiction, anxiety, autism, conflict, depression, infidelity, and trauma. As a systems-oriented psychoanalytic clinician, he pays special attention to how the past and present mingle and express in repeated sensations, interactions, and behaviors, while valuing client input and and agency. Knowing this work can often appear intimidating or like a chore, he seeks to cultivate a space conducive to creativity, surprise, and moments of lightness and laughter.

Woo Chan received his MA in Marriage and Family Therapy from National University with a specialization in Child and Adolescent Treatment. Prior to working as a therapist, he worked as a performer, community and labor organizer, and academic (PhD, University of Chicago, Musicology). As a first-generation immigrant and Korean/Asian American, he is attuned to the specific and complex challenges facing those navigating cultural, socioeconomic, and linguistic borders within their own lives and relationships, and welcomes those who have felt left out and behind by the world around them.
