Therapy for individuals, couples, and groups with a wide range of emotional and psychological concerns

What Do We Offer?

Rose Hill Psychological Services offers psychodynamic psychotherapy treatment for individuals, couples, and groups with a wide range of emotional and psychological concerns. We provide treatment for depression, anxiety, adjustment difficulties, stress, confusion over career goals, difficulties in relationships, family trouble, eating disorders, gender conflicts, addictions and severe psychopathology. We provide individual treatment for adults, children and adolescents, as well as couples and group treatment.

Individual Psychotherapy

Many people know that something is wrong but have trouble identifying exactly what the problem is or how to move beyond it. We will pair you with an experienced professional who will help you to identify and explore any issues and put you on a path toward resolution.

We work best with people who know they want to change their lives, but who feel stuck and confused, paralyzed by fear, anxiety, or a general disquiet. Do you feel you failed yourself, or that you are frustrated for giving up on your true desires? Have you struggled to move beyond trauma, abuse, and maladaptive thinking or behavior towards lasting healing? We will work with you to feel more confident, more motivated to take control of your life and to make the necessary changes to become the success you want to be.

“There came a time when the risk to remain tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom.” – Anais Nin

Couples Psychotherapy

It has probably never been all that easy to become a successful couple, two people who always enjoy being and growing together. But given the pressures and stresses of our contemporary world, it is not unusual for a couple to encounter speed bumps, potholes and detours along the way or to harbor resentment about parts of the journey together.

At Rose Hill, we work with couples to understand and correct the problems that partners sometimes experience communicating with each other. We help couples learn how to work together to resolve their own problems by communicating with each other. Our providers never act as judge and jury or assign blame to one or the other partner.

“Most couples have not had hundreds of arguments; they’ve had the same argument hundreds of times.” – Gay Hendricks

Group Psychotherapy

Group therapy offers a rewarding opportunity to expand individual development through the exploration of self in the context of a group. At Rose Hill, we believe that a group is made up of individuals, and in group therapy we explore the dynamic tension between the individual and group. Through the facilitation by an experienced professional, participants get better at experiencing a richer texture of relationships, while also advancing their own individual development. The feedback that you get from the group contrasts with the feedback from those in your outside life. Outside world and past experiences emerge as participation in the group intensifies, enabling deeper insight into the nuances and patterns we experience in social relations with others.

Child & Adolescent Psychotherapy

In Child therapy at Rose Hill, we bring the young person into focus. Especially in a time rendered so fraught by the pandemic, perhaps more for the young than for adults, where isolation and use of the virtual has become ubiquitous, children and adolescents have suffered. With our extensive experience in treating young people, we pay special attention to bringing the young person’s conflicts and difficult emotions to the surface, by working to give language to their issues, to communicate better with others, and to negotiate their conflicts with adults and authorities. Much time is spent exploring the underlying complex emotions and thoughts that become unspoken in the context of their lives, whether at home or school.

At Rose Hill we understand that finding a trusted therapist to work with children and adolescents is a must. Our experienced professionals enable the young person to have a sense of individuation and separation while tapping into their uniqueness and creativity. Through this, young people can facilitate their growth in the best possible way, providing internal resources that will be invaluable for their later life development.
